Why Are Cremations So Popular

One of the oldest rituals that we’ve been carrying on for generations is burial after death. It makes sense of have your loved ones buried in a spot where you can go visit them from time to time and pay your respects. But a part of this, if not all of it, is slowly beginning to change.

The newer generations are looking at death differently. Their approach is to celebrate the lives of the ones they’ve lost rather than mourn them. Instead of burying the bodies, after cremation, they are carrying the funeral urns for ashes around the country on road trips and scattering them across the Grand Canyon or making it drizzle like confetti off a hot air balloon.

Their outlook is so different that it makes us want to look at life differently. In addition to this refreshing aspect, the newer generations and the millennials are also more aware about the environmental damage caused by burials and hence choose cremation to avoid harming the earth. This helps reduce the amount of carbon footprint a body leaves behind upon being buried and their ashes can also be memorialized by planting a new tree with it. No better way to celebrate life!
