Traditionally people prefer funeral where they’ll bury the body in a coffin and they can visit their loved ones from time to time and spend time with their memory and remains in the burial ground. But lately more and more people are opting to go for cremations instead of funeral burials .This change may have come about due to many factors such as out of environmental concern and to reduce costs.
Whatever the
reason may be, you don’t have to settle for storing their ashes in a cremation urn and
having it on your mantle forever. There are many different ways you can
memorialize them.
1. You can
bury their ashes in a park or in the woods they frequented while they were
alive. This is especially true in the case of people who liked to hunt or fish
while they were alive. It is said that your spirit longs for the things you
wanted in life even in the afterlife so burying their ashes in a place where
they loved to visit is like assisting in putting their souls to peace.
2. If they
were a lover of the seas you can also bid farewell to them by scattering their
ashes over a water body, preferably the sea or the ocean. This is one of the
most effortless ways you can go about taking care of their cremated remains and
it involves no extra steps such as digging.
3. Also, they
were a lover of the city or if you wish to visit them frequently you can bury
their ashes in a cemetery with the help of a ceramic or glass urns. Metal urns
would be the best choice in this case since they’re sturdy but metal being
metal might react with the chemicals in the soil. Your best option in this case
would be a wooden urn or you could even use a biodegradable urn to bury their
ashes which will ultimately grow into a tree and bring life anew.
